Greetings Kelly,

I'm Mike McQueen, teacher librarian and founder of Like many school districts, we are in a financial crises. Our school board recently proposed to eliminate ALL 20+ middle school teacher librarians and also cut all 90+ elementary schools to half time. Since we are the biggest district in all of Colorado, we worry this will cause other districts to follow suit. We launched an online movement and are going to do our best to put up a good fight.

If possible, please visit our Facebook page and "Like" us . Adding a positive comment and sharing with your friends would help our morale as well. The board finalizes the budget soon so your timely support would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Kelly,
I'm a teacher librarian & recently started a community based blog for getting boys to read - Please send me a friend request if you'd like to network, share ideas, and learn more about getting boys to read.

My avatar was the first one I did for the class blog, the kids thought it looked threatening so now I have my Irish dancer blog (according to the girls) avatars on the class blog!
Sorry I didn't respond last week, I took off to Florida and since I don't have a laptop was only online one night at a friend's house - talk about withdrawal!!
I just sent Sharon an invite, and I'm going to invite our LNST Pam Badiuk next!

HI Kelly,
Hope all goes well for your tomorrow with your visitors!! Sorry I didn't get to much on here last week, I booked a last minute trip to Orlando after you invited me on, after I snapped snowblowing the driveway! It was hard to come back to winter.
My class is busy posting their first personal blog articles, a reading response to their current independent reading book. I've added your blog as a link and hope we can get some inter-school, inter-blog dialogue going.
