I'm Mike McQueen, teacher librarian and founder of http://www.GettingBoysToRead.com. Like many school districts, we are in a financial crises. Our school board recently proposed to eliminate ALL 20+ middle school teacher librarians and also cut all 90+ elementary schools to half time. Since we are the biggest district in all of Colorado, we worry this will cause other districts to follow suit. We launched an online movement and are going to do our best to put up a good fight. As you know by now, I was not able to attend ftf meeting. I'm not sure when I"ll be done; probably summer as well. Depends on what will be offered in the Spring and how much stress I can handle. Student accountability has ruined Spring for me! psmith

I'm an elementary school teacher as well and I live in South Texas too.....Laredo. I'm almost done but not exactly there with my MLS degree. I enjoy reading and spending time with my family. I'm always looking for a good laugh.
