Greetings Krissy,

I'm Mike McQueen, teacher librarian and founder of http://www.GettingBoysToRead.com. Like many school districts, we are in a financial crises. Our school board recently proposed to eliminate ALL 20+ middle school teacher librarians and also cut all 90+ elementary schools to half time. Since we are the biggest district in all of Colorado, we worry this will cause other districts to follow suit. We launched an online movement and are going to do our best to put up a good fight.

If possible, please visit our Facebook page and "Like" us http://www.facebook.com/SupportSchoolLibraries . Adding a positive comment and sharing with your friends would help our morale as well. The board finalizes the budget soon so your timely support would be greatly appreciated!

Sincerely,

Mike McQueen

Thanks Krissy for the advice on the avitar. I'll check some of those out. I need a new image (in more ways than one!) :)

Hi Krissy, Glad to hear the google gadget thingy worked! I had trouble running Jing on my computer too. But I just got a new laptop yesterday, will test it again on that. Lucky you with Camtasia! I took a 8 week class on Camtasia, using the demo version. Loved the software, but haven't yet bought it. I'm teaching a class on screencasting this spring. Guess we'll use Wink since it's free! Have a good thanksgiving.

Krissy, I realized after the workshop on Saturday that you have a different catalog than the CRBSLS one. So the google gadget I did for Linda won't work for you guys. But I just did a quick version of one for you and stuck it on my server. You can copy the file and do what you like with it. If you want to test it, just add it to your igoogle page like you would a regular RSS feed. The URL for the gadget is: http://www.pafa.net/bhbl.xml

Nice jing screencast on google toolbars! Fun.
