I am a retired high school librarian (17 years) and previously K-4 librarian for 6 years. I was in the business arena as a property manager for 15 years before using my MLIS from Drexel and getting certified. I love HS students, love to read and and being a librarian is the best, best job one could have!

    Greetings BJ, 

    I'm Mike McQueen, teacher librarian and founder of http://www.GettingBoysToRead.com. Like many school districts, we are in a financial crises. Our school board recently proposed to eliminate ALL 20+ middle school teacher librarians and also cut all 90+ elementary schools to half time. Since we are the biggest district in all of Colorado, we worry this will cause other districts to follow suit. We launched an online movement and are going to do our best to put up a good fight.

    Hey, back at you! It's sunny at the shore!! Wish you were here! Family coming this afternoon. Will join your Goodreads Blog but you read way faster than I do and I am in two faculty reading groups as well! I just started, Unwind. Also, I konk (sp) out lots earlier than I used to! Reading and reviewing non-fiction social issue books this week for PSLA.
