My nonprofit group, Skateboard Moms, is planning a road trip to the Phoenix area (and possibly Sedona) in early December.
Part of our mission is to encourage children to read via our Rolling4Reading program. Wondering if any of you AZ folks might have a recommendation as to a worthy literacy cause there? We read to the kids, donate books, and do a few skateboard tricks---no fee, of course. (Photos of our visit to a San Francisco literacy center can be found in this Ning's photo section.)
I will also be doing author presentations at schools while I'm there, if anyone's interested.
